Platform

I sit alone on a wooden bench
I watch the sunlight on cement
I watch the shadows on the ground
I watch the swirling merry go round
Children laugh and scream in pain
The child inside me starts to wain
I weep for memories that walk on by
I watch them as they start to die
Walk away if you want to live
I have nothing left to give
A blank page to colour in
That is all that I've ever been

Rhymes are always better when they're funny. Oh well.
